Steve Silvey
Steve Silvey is a native of Anderson, SC. He holds a BA from Central Wesleyan College, a Master of Divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary, and is currently working on a doctorate at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Steve has served as the pastor of Covenant Baptist Church since August of 1997. He and his wife Kim have two daughters, Elizabeth and Mary, and a dog named Butterscotch, or “Butter,” for those who know her personally!
Steve loves to spend time with his family, read, and enjoys long distance running. He recently ran the Army Ten Miler in memory of his nephew, Army Ranger Dillon Jutras, who was killed in action in Iraq in 2005.

Brock Smith
Brock Smith is a native of Donalds, SC. He holds a BA in Church Music from Erskine College where he graduated in 1999. He has also received some seminary training from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Erskine Theological Seminary.
Brock’s wife Lauren also serves as the pianist for the praise band at Covenant. Brock and Lauren have 4 amazing boys, Benjamin, Gabriel, Noah, and Crosby. Brock is not only a talented musician, he is also gifted in the audio visual field as well.
In his spare time Brock enjoys watching science fiction, learning about technology, and most of all spending time with his wife and kids.

Robbie Smith
Robbie Smith is an Anderson native. He graduated from Westside High in 1993 and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Clemson University in 1997. In 2001, he graduated with a Masters of Divinity in Christian Education from Southeastern Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.
Robbie is a charter member of Covenant. He began his service as a volunteer working with youth ministry, but joined the staff full time on May 27th, 2001. He and his wife Rebecca have a son named Joey. Robbie plays a huge role in orchestrating our “Big Events” such as our Easter Egg Hunt, Fall For Jesus, and Judgement House. He enjoys spending time with his wife and son.

Allen McConnell
Allen McConnell is originally from Anderson, SC but spent a good part of his childhood in Georgia. He attended Emmanuel College but claims to have gotten most of his experience through life…and being a “Preacher’s Kid!”
Allen has been on staff for nearly 6 years. He and his wife Kelli have two children, Alyssa (6) and Elijah (2). His son Elijah is literally a “carbon copy” of Allen. His daughter Alyssa is 6 yrs old going on 18. Could it be that she spends top much time hanging out with teenagers? I’ll let you make that call! Lol.
Allen loves to collect vintage games and anything 80′s. Some even say that he may still be stuck in the 80′s!

Kim Shore
Kim Shore is a native of Anderson. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Clemson University and her Masters in Rehab Science/Physical Therapy from MUSC. She practiced pediatric physical therapy for 9 yrs and also received her Teaching Certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education in 2008.
Kim has been on staff since August of 2008. She married her high school sweetheart, Chris, in 1998. They have 3 children, Keifer, Carley, and Katey who have truly been a blessing and a gift from God.
It is obvious that Kim truly has a passion for children and their families.
Church Administrator

Anne Morgan
Anne Morgan is more than just our church administrator. She has literally been a part of this church staff since the beginning. As a matter of fact, the very first time Covenant met it was in her home.
Anne also serves as the secretary for our AWANA program, works in the nursery, and teaches the 2 year old Sunday School class. She definitely has the gift and heart of service.
She is married to Bill, who is our Sunday school director. Bill is better known as the “Tootsie Roll Guy.” Bill and Anne have 2 children, Billy and Missy. They also have 5 grandchildren, Morgan, Sydney, Kirsten, Grant, and Gabby.
