FAQ’S for First Time Guests

As you plan your first visit to Covenant you may have some questions. Below you will find a list of answers to frequently asked questions.

If you need further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us at 864-261-3343 or by email at the “Contact Covenant” tab at the top right hand corner of this page.

It would be great to arrive no later than ten minutes before the service time. If you have children you may wish to allow an additional ten minutes or so to check your kids into the nursery or children’s church.

When you pull into the church drive you will find a white sign with blue lettering that will direct you to convenient guest and handicap parking. There is also a light green stripe painted on the drive which leads to guest parking.

To make sure your children are safe and secure we have installed a computerized check-in system. When you arrive you will find two kiosks in the main foyer and another at the nursery suite. There you can quickly check your child in and get helpful information about our kid’s ministries.

At Covenant you will find people dressed in various ways. Some will have on blue jeans and t-shirts. Others may be wearing a coat and tie. At Covenant we are more concerned with what is in your heart than what you wear. We do however encourage people to dress modestly and comfortably.

We consider Covenant to be a family church. With that in mind, you can expect to sing some of the familiar hymns of old, typically arranged in a modern way. And we will sing some of the more contemporary praise and worship songs as well. You can also anticipate a sermon that is biblical, clear, and applicable to everyday life. In all of our services it is our desire to enter into the presence of God and to encounter Him in a life changing manner.

Each Sunday morning at 9:45 am we offer a variety of small group Bible study options. At the welcome center in the foyer one of our volunteers will be glad to help you explore our many Bible study options and help you find a class that is a good fit for you and your family.

You are encouraged to bring your Bible, but if you do not have one the Scripture passages will be displayed on two large screens for your convenience. Pastor Steve preaches from the New King James Version of the Bible.
